Hello Everyone and welcome to my website.
I'm Darryl Emmerson, an Australian writer and performer.
The year is going pretty well for us.
Kieran Carroll (script writer), Janice Florence (lyricist), and I (song writer) are curently working on a new musical, One Day in the Week, scheduled for 2014 production. A warm, romantic story of two students falling in and out of love in Melbourne, it's feeling strong, and I think will be a quality show.
And my long-term collaborator Tony Burcel and I have just put some new songs to go on this website; see 'New Songs', under Projects. Our music is going in some new directions, a bit more Latin, a bit more funky, but we still have room for the odd satirical piece. This time round, it's 'Just SOS', with lyrics by my good friend Annie Ryall.
The number of hits on this site has been healthy, and CD sales continue. It's great to feel the music is getting out there, so thanks for spreading the word.
